A Muse On the Loose

A muse on the loose. Oh, where might she go? Special moments in life that made my heart glow she visits with sentimentality - to gild cherished memories of family. Through scenes of a novel or some picture show - a muse on the loose. Oh, where might she go? Moved by great drama or by tragedy, she sprinkles a flavor of melancholy. To mountains or flowered fields or to the sea, she's ready to gather the majesty of nature around her! From beaches to snow - a muse on the loose. Oh, where might she go? From daily events of simplicity to things unexpected that happen to me, she gleans inspiration, then the poems flow. A muse on the loose. Oh, where might she go? Written Sept.8, 2016 for the Contest of John Lawless: Muse on the Loose

I can't believe this beauty didn't make the winning list Andrea. I really loved it. I was trying to figure out what form it was with your repeating lines. Impressive use of them. At any rate it's wonderfully written. ; ) 7

A glorious pen and bonus points for busting out a 6 syllable word early (yes I stopped and counted on my fingers). Good luck in the contest, this reads like a very high finish to me

A muse on the loose - have you tried automatic writing? This is when the muse goes absolutely ape. Could I borrow your muse for a while. Maybe then someone would read my stuff. Love, Dave

Am I the only one that didn't take "Muse on the Loose" literally? A lonely group of one? Regardless of that, I enjoyed the skippety-do-da feel of your clever write and the exact truths of where all our muses do, indeed, go ... CayCay

The muse must be one of poets favorite subjects, this time handled very well indeed.
