Day Dreaming

As she sits drinking coffee on a warm summer day. Thoughts of him comes to her mind. A smile quickly appears across her face. *She remembers that long spring day when they met, talked, laughed and walked hand in hand as though they had been together all along. He craved their names with his knife on the big white oak tree. He wrote it so everyone passing by would see. Suddenly she jumps when she hears a crash on the ground. Looking down she saw she dropped her coffee cup. A sadness quickly appears across her face. *She remembers when the day was over and he held her close, Whispering in her ear he says 'We can be because I am married'.

Expression is simple but fine. In the concept of the poem I have felt that the person who whispers is a true married lover.
