21st Century Epidemic
We've become the walking dead
A 21st century epidemic
Absorbing what society said
Like zombies we mimic
We have apps on our phones
They do the living for us
An existence complete with drones
YouTube is our chorus
Wives have become consumed
With fantasy homemaking
Shrinking their creative room
It's laid out for their taking
Dad doesn't have to play catch
The wii includes instructions
Dogs aren't playing fetch
Another detail worth neglecting
Flowers are still blooming
Just like the olden days
But there is no time for swooning
We see ten shades of grey
Every hue is equally bland
Nothing to spark one's Fire
Technology will only expand
Causing imagination's retire
