#1**Unicorn Valley**
Land of purple hues
simple, sweet innocent eyes
rises from the east

#2**Guile of Disciples**
Magic gathering
hides away from the darkness
horn found on the ground

#3**Beautified Dreams**
Enchantment of life
ancestral home broken down
adorn the unicorn

#4**Freedom Quest**
Liberty or Death
Unicorn celebration
Epic battle won

buried secrets

where the seagull dies
stringless origami cries
loneliness of soul

koi fish suffocate
colors fade in Bonsai trees
island in distress

words not understood
shadows grin tricks on rice walls
tsunamis in eyes

geisha of the world
love is lost in illusions
freedom is her dream

men with cold fingers
whither blossom of her spring
harakiri end

in the seagull's grave
origami secrets kept
chicks learn how to fly

No Chain, No Charm

In Unison-
~No Chain, No Charm~

United we own
Firm, full of finest goodies-
Our ground of freedom.

United we stand
Firm from failure and horror-
On the ground of strength.

United we pray
Faithfully with open mind-
Our bliss is assured.

a crown of cold clouds obscures a peak far too proud ~ mount indifference the muse will not land words just can not understand~ judgement's rough offence A lush valley calls Free of harsh, barrier walls~ and haiku defence winged lines soar, now wise sweet poet gave us . . . sunrise bright, choral incense
Haiku can rhyme, have alliteration, personification and even punctuation. A genuine thank you to Poet Destroyer for giving poets who would otherwise feel daunted by haiku the freedom to think outside the box and try something different. Thanks, PD. This one is for you. :-)

Looking at the Stars

Midgets always do
Looking stangely at the stars
Counting bigger ones

Small and big dippers
Emit freedom a distance
Expressing oneness

At times in old days
Longing to look at more stars
Achieve apogee.

A Dream with The Christ

A wondrous dreamt came
With a long waited specie
Looks like no other

Stares in wilderness
Depict countless of meanings
Felt passes through souls

Asked simple queries
But answered with more questions
Discerned their values

Reunited with him
Was such a grateful event
Moment of freedom

Spoke undated views
Now reveal validity
Light is from within.

your voice will call
above their taut strings:
freedom, freedom!

Memorial Day

soldiers gave their lives-
enormous price for freedom
Gray clouds in morning

*An unofficial beginning of summer with a long weekend of BBQ's, beer and having fun, but
we all should take a few moments and remember the real meaning of Memorial Day.

Bald Urge

Disoriented dreams
Freedom without snowcapped tops
Artificial hunt.

Horizontal wish
Waiting feather tips to grow
It is not too late!

for Carolyn's contest "Bald Eagle Contest"
My metaphorical interpretation of the picture

drip, drop, trickling
rising, overflowing now...
emotional dam

wreaks havoc, torn, tossed
destroying walls, drowning wells...
no signs of stopping

gushing, roaring, lost
freedom to flow everywhere...
seeps to silent sea
