Count the Love In Your Days
When the man you viewed with all the strength is deemed impotent, you start weighing your strength in increments smaller and smaller are the things you can lift. When circumstances are compared you figure depression must be hereditary. When all you lived for is made small because you couldn't find one person to believe in your dreams. You pray, "Lord, take me now" But continue to wake each morning feeling less than a difficult problem becoming harder to compute. Push mute with turmoil boiling inside Take me away to those biblical sunny days. Hard seeing the ones you love give up on love. Life grows tiresome Didn't expect for family to be so far away wishing for Sunday dinners fried chicken and handwritten letters. Grandkids who come home eventually Hard watching him grow weak not having all his family around but that's the saddest part, knowing I played a part of breaking his heart earning a living came at a cost Eventually we will all have to pay (For my grandfather)
