A Holiday Visit
Twas the morning of visitation, and all through my house, not an item was out of place and I awaited the race. I jumped from my chair, from the rest from which I was torn. It was the clatter of my children running up at the sound of the horn. They stormed through the door. with there overnight bags and pillows, kicking off there shoes and jumping for the remote. The once quiet house, now filled with drama, a pleasant change from the usual norm. The baby ran first loosing his diaper, while the teens fought over who was more hyper. The family table welcomed, all but one, with cry's for more butter, and the who would clear the clutter.. The night fell, and the kids camped out. Falling asleep to the sound of the cable going out. The morning came, and so did Mom.. the sound of the horn was all they heard, they grabbed there stuff and turned and said ... goodbye Dad well see ya soon..
