Will You Kindly Marry Me
There have been times when I look at you and my heart starts to patter, there are moments I've shared with you when you're all that matters. Six years have passed since you've stolen my heart until it was free, and sixty more to come with an eternity if you would kindly marry me. Many may be skeptical knowing a woman proposed to the man, well baby, we've already agreed, no one will ever understand. Here is your sparkling white gold ring with a few accent diamonds, please say yes to my proposal and we shall create our own island. The passion we share is so delicate as your hand caresses my hair, at times when we're alone I feel your warmth as you stare. Please join me and let's create a family of love to remember, you know I've always wanted to wed in late September. I carry such deep faith in us knowing we will last a lifetime, for it will always be just us, I am yours and you are mine. So here is one yellow rose I give to you while on bent knee, I'm awaiting patiently for your answer...will you kindly marry me? Date Written: June 23, 2001 Date Posted: January 28, 2016 ***This is a poem I read to my boyfriend (now husband) when I proposed to him at age 21. I don't have it written on paper anymore, but I watched my wedding video and found it. We've been happily married for almost 15 years now***
