Into the Blue
On this beautiful sunny day, We pack up our belongings and go on our way. We drive towards our new boat where we will enjoy our first day at sea, Today is the day I am so happy to be me. We have waited so long for this moment to arrive, At this moment, I feel so alive. On the deep blue sea we set sail for our first trip, I am excited about knowing I will take my first dip. Shadows fall over me as clouds begin to appear, As I listen closely, rumbling of thunder I hear. The rain begins to beat down on our boat and we begin to feel fear, I am so scared, I curl up under deck and start to shiver and tear. My husband is yelling for me to help him up above, But all I could do is whisper that I'm sorry, I can't my love. We begin to drift farther out into the deep blue with dark skies overhead, I try to ignore what is happening, the fear my husband is dead. I heard him scream my name while I heard a horrible splash, Water is now coming into the boat through a huge gash, My life was so perfect at the beginning of the day, There is nothing left for me to do but cry and pray.
