To My Knees
To My Knees As I started my life’s journey on a quest to follow this Glorious Son of Man, Being so young so foolish and thinking I’m so strong in this body why, I can do this, oh yes, I can. Thinking at times it is all about you and it is all about me and the needs we face from day to day, but what a Gracious God I serve, so patient and kind to pour out His Spirit even on the words that He gives us to pray. Then closer and closer to His presence from year to year I have come, not realizing I’m being changed into His likeness and not daring to look back from the place that I had been undone. Noticing some changes had taken place in me and my thoughts now being lifted on high, and familiar things and sights now gone fallen off on this road along the way side. Now my mortal body it to is being affected Dear Jesus, have I been doing something wrong, for my knees seem to be weaker the closer I am to Him and away from the masses and the throngs. Catching a glimpse now and again oh, the brightness of His Glory I can see, and knowing now it has always been about Him and never, no never about you and about me. I’m the nearest that I have ever been to Him and His Glory His holiness is filling up the air, I am not wanting to stand any more by my own strength but gladly kneeling before Him in love’s sweet prayer. I suspect these knees of mine will get a Heavenly workout for in His presence I most humbly love to bow, for I have come to know Him for Who He is and that is all that matters to me now.
