The Boy Who Liked To Scare
In a little sleepy town Lived a boy named Jerry, quite the clown He loved to make the people scream And crept upon when was not seen He loved to play awful jokes Creating ghosts made just from ropes And hiding in the alley ways To scare the people through the days His family was just horrified And told him it was unjustified How people would not go out at night For fear that they may get a fright But one night waiting in the dark Old jerry heard something pass It sounded like a gust of air But jerry did not seem to care Then on his shoulder it did tap And gave his heart quite the attack He said you did scare me so But didn’t turn to see this foe But as his eyes looked behind He saw a figure that looked quite kind But then he lifted off the ground So silent and did not make a sound It was a ghost and there he stood In black and draped just with a hood Jeremy did start to cry But no one came to sympathize And so he ran inside the house Looking white and like a mouse And panting quickly at the door He locked it tight sat on the floor His mother said it seems to me A ghost you have seen so scarily He looked at her and to his surprise Her face was white with painted eyes It was you he yelled so loud Yes she said and you see now That scaring is only fun for you And something that you shouldn’t do So now he stopped the trickery And was more fun because you see If you don’t like it done to you Then un to others you must not do.
