Suddenly, from somewhere inside my head, I imagined I heard a rumbling voice from up high in the sky. “Become a Puddle Master,” it said. “Tell your fellow poets to use their voice to help solve the problems that plague all you humans who live on the earth.” Then the raindrops started again and when I looked down at the puddle I saw us living together in peace without any wars, and I saw us working to end the blight of the poor, and saw us stop heating our climate to death. So I said out loud to the rumbling voice I better go back inside my house before my ‘we can do better’ mind set gets wet.
