The Gift
By: Isaiah Powell A world of sin and wickedness. The only cleansing a blood sacrifice, But only for a short time it lasted, So God sent The Gift so blessed The Gift to be virgin born. The Gift to live a life of scorn. The Gift to be refused and rejected. Righteousness The Gift perfected. King of all but no friends had The Gift. Come to earth for our burdens to lift. The Gift never sinned nor ever did wrong. The Gift was mocked as he preached along. The Gift was punished upon Mount Calvary. The Gift was crucified for you and me. The Gift knew his purpose and followed it through. The Gift's goal was to pardon me and you. The Gift was Jesus and is living today, Because he arose on the third day. The Gift sits on the Father's right hand To plead for our pardon in that Distant Land...
