Climbing That Hill
Climbing That Hill Slowly I climbed that silent hill just to sit in solitary thought Desperation fights against my will destroying all the mercies bought As I crest that hill to summit high a calm feeling washes all over me No more shall I seek mercy to buy it has been sent in all that I see A stand of mighty oaks looming tall so many birds singing all around This majestic wonder gifted to us all Nature's blessings so eagerly found Whip-poor-wills singing to early morn hidden so cleverly on the wet ground I muse, happy just to have been born paying homage with such loving sound 08-03-2014 Written from memory of my visit to my old hunting grounds early last year. I took a day off to just go clear my thoughts. I came home that night a new man. God's remedy was there just for the asking....
