A Simple Heart
Some believe life to be a dream a passing image A scene full of color, smiles, tears and joy As we know, each day brings a different feeling, and memories You see there came a day when I knew my heart to be alive It all began with our eyes, they met and like glue they would not part I sat to wonder of my insecurities, for the world is an unfair judge Least my soul had no image, and my voice no shape or form When she heard me speak, the tone of my voice, it pierced her heart And she for once bleed emotion, and her heart too rejoiced Alas I felt as if I were to never be alone again If I spoke, I spoke of her and how she brought color unto my life All faded when she was near, my life was carefree I sang to my self like I hadnt before, I was in love I was like the sky who married the clouds Like the moon who married the sun and the stars their offspring So slow I learned to cope with what I felt A heart so fragile, so soon it broke Her soul looked but didn't see, and slowly she turned from me My nights became eternal, and the pain grew from with in She was gone, and I a foolish poet with a shattered mind My heart did heal, and strength a new Past my history I love today, I won't forget Facts of love, our hearts are simple
