What Is Love
What is Love???? Mother You raised me, and gave me, Everything you could. Sacrifices of love, Large enough to cow, but still you stood. You protected me and I gave back, Only anger and spite. Acting out when you counseled, Not acknowledging you were right. Wife It started as a kiss, That sparked a future. Of loving memories, responsibilities, That changed this chronically failing user. Our relationship giving water, To our once parched futures. Now drenched and mended in our laughter, Are our old heartache’s sutures. Father You made my future easy, By teaching hard truths early, with an iron hand. The problems between, you and me. Everything we mutually cannot stand, About each other. Guides us to frequent screaming, Until our throats go bland, And we start beating. Our chests in rage. Still caring for each other either way. Love is??? Mostly grey. -comments/criticism appreciated (03/13/13)
