A Best Friend
About a year ago I met someone who’s great Who taught me how to trust again Our meeting was pure fate I had a disbelief in friendship You proved to me that I was wrong I found a real friend that day Now in my life where they belong Overtime I’ve got to know you To me you always remained true I must thank God up above For blessing me with you To have you in my life Brings more joy than you could know You shined a light upon the dark Allowing our relationship to grow I consider you my best friend By your side I’ll always stand If ever help is needed Know I’m here to lend a hand I send you happy birthday wishes Today and everyday I’ve found an everlasting friendship Which I hope will never fade away Know you’re someone special To me you’re way above par So, I’ll send this with a thank you For being who you are
