A Gentle Thought To Brush Your Mind
Who said eternity was long ?It’s like a bittersweet song. Horrible disaster collapsing in air. Think you could lose, and not care I’m right there with you, In this stale selfless place. Look back, think about it, How fake they made you feel, But still, it was so real. Look inside, who are you now? Flaking away in yesterday. You’re not as alone as you probably should be, Haunting your dreams of the life you see. Let me tease your mind, A tender touch, so kind. Now stop for a moment and think, Were they worth all that ink? Forget who you are, forget everything you’ve been. Look out into the distance, capture your sin. It’s as easy as you want, but harder than you thought, Don’t lock yourself up, in fear of getting caught. I’ll take a moment and drop my sorrow in a jar, Breathe in who I am, and see who you are. If I looked to you, would I still feel your hate? Or with every ounce inside my soul, could I recreate?
