Though his feelings dampened the effect, He struggled still in pain Writhing, and finally tried to rise But was strangled By the same desire for a certain truth; The impossible never happened And he left in dismay: He died a painful death in faith... The divine intervention was all he wanted, A return of emotions was what he sought; A struggle was all he repented, For Peace he never got; His wishes went away in the coffin With questions he could never ask; The last of the nails looked heavily laden, Was beaten into his cask....
