When Time Is Over
When Time is Over The time is almost over the road is getting short. It's coming to an end. From what I lived yesterday, there are only memories. I am not going to lament the past. We all have ups and downs in life. Sometimes it seems like we don't have enough time. I was young once. I remember being happy. I thought then, that time didn't go by. In the course of my life I lived a lot of things. Some were sad, some happy, some bad and some good. But life went on and so did time. One day I looked in the mirror. I saw that my face had changed. My youth was gone. It was not there anymore. There were some wrinkles on my face and gray hair on my head. When I saw this I wanted to cry. I kepted on looking in the mirror for a while. Than I started to make a recount on my life. I saw that I had more happy times than sad. The wrinkles are prints and marks of the pains and sorrows that life has brought us. The gray hair is another story, or maybe several. They are the experiences that we have lived in our life. With the gray hair, you acquire knowledge and wisdom. The years don't go by for nothing. Some people never get old, because their life is cut short. If one day, in front of the mirror - you happen to see some gray hair - give thanks to GOD, that you made it this far in your life. The experiences you lived are stories that you can tell the young people. They might even help them to live their lives. You can also tell them to your grandkids. They will be happy to listen to you and you will be happy too. To you young people live your youth slow and not fast. Enjoy it while it lasts. Because before you know it your youth is gone your life has passed and your time is over... 2012 Written by Lucilla M. Carrillo
