She Was Beautiful
Like a bird " they say she was. Like a bird of white wings. She would come every night. From 8:00 to 10:00, on a corner, under a light she would stand. I was little when I first saw her. It was on a Winter night. She was wearing a white coat. She was beautiful. I saw her again and again, smoking and walking on that corner, but always from 8:00 to 10:00. Sometimes she would leave with a friend, but she would always come back. I remember her like that. Always standing, smoking, or walking. Night after night. The years passed and I grew up. One day I saw her, she looked different. It was like her beauty was fading away. Many winters had passed, but she was still wearing the white coat. Not many friends stoped anymore. One day I looked towards the corner and it was empty. She was not there. The light was still there, but the corner looked lonely. The days passed, but she didn't returned. Where had she gone? I felt sad.Who was she? I don't know. Her name she never told me. When her beauty was gone - she was seen no more...
