Bitter Sweet
Tears already shot to the heart without bullets or a trigger, What a little world but time to make it bigger. Love isn’t a factor to subtract, Send me a memory but I’ll send it’s change back. Family already broken but a heart that’s still soaking, Drowning in pain but only in the shallow end with no one knowing, A face as calm from the front but a rear to expose while I’m joking. Shoe laces tied as a bow; no naught, I’m a football heading for success while I’ve been caught. Over dosed on the ink so let me get clean by spilling it between the blue lines, No pulse on a heart of steel even if rusted to its veins, A soul that’s on the loose but should I claim it as mines. Seat reclined back but the trophy stolen by trust, Purple kisses to dodge and ladies to restrain from because it’s just… Lust. One radio station in my head but over whelmed to my knees, Eating a apple from the forbidden tree, Does that explain why my life is like a window fog where I can’t see? Is that why the ground has shattered and it only happened to me? So many people who are fake but which to pick, Sad as a clown with face paint but without a balloon trick, Feet planted to the soil of the earth but arms extended to the moon, Am I shooting for something never their and return before noon, Friend who wish I could build their foundations of life with my bricks. So much to lose but only but only a little to hold, Warm taught but a world so cold, A life for sale but never low on fuel; already bought out, sold. While my mind vomits memories as hot as lava, Smile but not too deep where we start to hear betrayal and drama, Rewind to the beginning of the poem because it’s Karma. Love already kidnapped so what’s the value of mine? Living life to the fullest and stuff is still fine.
