Empty Holes
Empty holes people leave in me when they’ve left Are just bearable to say the least I walk a line down the middle of the road Searching deep inside Trying to find something worth saving Loss took the child in me Love has broken the girl in me Hatred brought forth the woman in me And Pain is all I can see Day by day I keep going Hearts break and love can grow All I need is a hand to hold, a hand that will stay. Avoiding what the world wants to throw at me Its all I can do to stay I keep wondering what really is left for me here Even the one keeping me here Doesn’t even see Our eyes cry and our tears fall Just so we know that it hurts One day I will find a place where I can stay And no one will leave me For now Ill walk this line down the middle of this road In the dark alone
