How Great Thou Art!
High above the clouds, in the sun’s glow Blue skies above, blue seas below In-between, lies millions of milky white clouds Looking like snow heaps, piled up in mounds Sitting in this iron-bird, flying in the air The wonders of God, His majesty how fair Cloud patches billowing, each with its own shape Some looking so much like the mountain’s cape Men take in the air, thousands of dead weight Have we with death, a final date Can it be that we know, God’s presence is there Let’s not our conciseness stifle here O gracious and most mighty God I bow in awe at your majesty Each patch of land below Each piece of cloud above Speak volumes of your greatness and love O Lord my God, how great Thou art My fellow poets, whenever you should happen to be an airplane again, just take a look out the window. Look at the clouds, see how they are formed. See how they hang in suspended air. Look at the wing of the aircraft, see how it floats in the air without falling, then tell me, there is no God and he is not a great God! I challenge you!
