Ghetto Forgotten
Walk with me through the lows of life to the place most refuse to go walk with to go the ghetto Witness the problems first hand see all the tears cried all the blood shed Being arrested then rearrested for old bench warrants given the end of the stick Seeking god in a den of thieves where the preacher is one ready to condemn you to hell even though he drives the there See children learn racism from dealing with their teachers impressing on their minds a future they thought of Watching each one trying to escape no matter the vice they use hoping to escape a wasteland Knowing as the world turns the ghetto is forgotten despite promises for change the ghetto streets remain the same A lack of jobs and health care children becoming dependent upon welfare Those who look down within this hole only see the distress and pain the names may change but what you see remains the same
