Albet Gress
The end No never Battlefield scorched black My soul to send Forever To eternity and back My boots Crush dust, and sand My face so scarred People loot Take in said land One by one I bombard A husband lay Locket in hand Eyes still with frozen fear There a menace is fray Ripping locket with demand Menace now bloody with tears A soldier kind Bullet in head My friend before death A grave I will find A lovely bed You save your one last breath Through battle fires I burn I live with you, on shoulder You’re my situation dire My concern My friend, brother, soldier I find your love Your house Stained now as aspiration Bombs came from above Left not a mouse We all died in formation With found spade We will assume That we found life I have to fade I dug your tomb Then pulled out my own knife With these words I scream My blood is shed The world is now less My honor, redeemed My family fed Remember me, I am Albet Gress
