Triumph of Love
You say there is no truth Then why do you say it like it's true? In this century of blood We are lost symbols of love I hang onto your every word Like you're a despotic God assured But what do you mean when you say I am not who you are A lie You offer only one reply "I know not who I am" But my thoughts are spirals always unclear And it keeps coming back to this meaning that I lack and I wonder, who am I to think that art could save a wretch like me Ideologies I pretend become my sanity Love is no virtue just a vanity I sink into my expressive appeal Hoping it will all become clear, but it fails I know not who I am Just a sketch of me So I stand at Gods door and i hear the voices from the cathedral When they blend they sound like angels So I raise my voice hoping to reach them but the range is too high way up in heaven So I hold my tongue Forget the song Tie my shoe keep moving on I hope someday I may find a sense of meaning that can't be combined With these hateful words and ruined minds That my friends all seem is theirs and mine but not me I am free
