For My Loved Ones (When I Am Gone)
My days are growing shorter, But I live with joy; not fear. For I know where I’m going When my time has run out here. Each day we live is special Thanks to all of those we love. Each memory you have given me Is a blessing from above. I know that you’ll cry for me And that breaks my heart to say. The last thing that I wanted Was to leave you hurt this way. Be patient, please, my loved ones, For the day will some day come, Where we’ll live together once again In the Lord’s precious kingdom. You may sometimes be lonely, And the nights, they may be long, But the best way you can honor me Is to have faith and be strong. You’ll move on with your new life And someday love again. And I wish the best in all you do, A new beginning, not the end.
