NOTE: Back in 1997, a little girl from Mankato, Minnesota desperately needed a heart transplant--and God didn't let her down! Today she is almost 19 and her smile lights up the room when she walks in. This poem is dedicated to her--to her strength and courage--and to her energy and compassion! Though there seems to be alot of minut controversy over being a donor, I am very proud to be a donor--and --I hope that one day, if somone ever needs a second chance at life--my being a donor will make a difference to them!
