The Race
I'm climbing up this hill thats getting steeper by the minute thinking about this race thats life and how I want to win All the struggle and pain I endure and maintain To ensure that I gain the courage to remain This marathon is long So I have to be strong so I can stick with it for real to get my part of the deal I'm so tired and hurt but I have to make it work I have to push myself forward all distraction ignored This is life or death I must pass this quest or fail the test and miss all the rest Of the crap you get for winning the respect and recognition for not thinking about quitting but being willing to buckle down, shut up, hold on tight, close your eyes, keep your head to the sky and roll with it. and if you did just right you might be surprised but you won it. 2-23-2004
