He Is My Ocean
I release my spirit, the ocean, it takes over me like an unknown trust. Like food to my soul, craves feeding my soul, like an unknown lust As I sit on the shore, I feel the sand beneath me, I grasp in my hands and watch it sift through….. Feeling it slide between my fingers, wanting to hold it and let go too….. Mind with no sound, I stare into the ocean, how deep is the ocean? How far it extends? Stealing my breath, arousing my emotions, bottomless, endless like it never ends With certainty, the ocean comes strong to draw me in I clench the sand in my fist, planting myself, NO No I wont give in! Refusing to go, but the tide is so strong I fight the tide, but my strength is gone This ocean I have loved for so so long Is now claiming my soul, my confusion is found My heart beats, my emotions full of explosions A perfect infatuation, seeing within the ocean Floating like a high, I sense something is wrong My ocean once fascinating, now singing a different song….. How could I be a fool, thinking this was heaven sent I should have grasped the sand that day, I should have never went
