I try to let the thoughts of you fade, put away the memories that haunt me, and wait to heal and mend. I have my good days, and I have my bad days too. Seems like you never fully leave my head. I pass a stranger who smells like you, or has a certain look in their eyes And sometimes I cry myself to bed. I wish I could erase all that has happened go back in time and somehow change the outcome but life surely doesn’t work that way.
