Dead and Gone
Looking at Mister Death in the mirror each day, I chuckle The idea of worrying about when my time on earth ends It really is very comical to me in many ways At age fifty, I have outlived both my father and sister Fifteen years past my father and ten past my little sister So, every day I wake up is just plain gravy to me If anyone in the future finds this ranting poem somewhere Let me notify you of the central issues of today You might find them rather amusing, as I certainly do Foremost is the obsession of eliminating wrinkles Women routinely inject poison into their aged faces They can’t show any sincere emotions, but their face is flat The next driving fixation is men maintaining erections Men spend millions of dollars each day to maintain this power When watching sports, one knows all men suffer from this disorder We must discuss the concern of the temperature on earth Billions of people, worldwide, think man is burning the planet And if we don’t turn back into cavemen, we’re all going to die Let’s review our priorities, here in two thousand and eight Wrinkle free faces and permanently erect penises And last, but not least, saving the planet from evil mankind I would assume, if you’re reading this poem, you must be alien One hundred years have passed; all human life has ceased to exist Nothing remains except little blue pills, empty syringes And the rusted carcasses old Toyota Priuses © Copyrights G.
