Enter Poem or Quote (Required) I have a friend that called me last night He called to tell me the biopsy had came back Hearing the hesitance in his voice I tried to braced myself for what was about to be heard As he began telling me the bad news I felt my body weakening I felt my hands began to shake I felt my tears swelling up inside Oh God how I needed to cry He has fought so hard the first time around Doing each and everything he was told to do Obeying his doctors Abiding by all the rules His desires to conquer This thing called "cancer" Never failed to show through But this time his spirit doesn't seem the same The eagnerness in his voice has not remained Being the man of which he is Has dealt with misfortune For many years His childhood days brought him "polio" Slowing him down But once an adult It never stopped him from carrying Life's heavy load His adult years has been spend Working and striving to pay his bills Wanting hand outs was not his will Now that the "cancer" has spread To other parts within I pray that God will spare him For this is a good man I ask of all who may read my words Please say a pray for Carl And may our voices all be heard And to Pam, Carl's girlfriend, may I add Thank you for being the kind And loving person you are And thank you for loving my dear friend.
