So fast

Times I hoped would last
Slowly became part of the past
Find the future comes so fast
Days ever changing
Rearranging
The memories in my mind
Everyday, today gets left behind
All that I knew
Changed as I grew
Answers that I sought
Were just lessons self taught
Waiting for a tomorrow that is never to come
Today makes a difference to some
As the conscious gives a tug
For things swept under some rug
Stepping into a new day
Wishful of a place to stay
But home is so far away
Time never stands still
Iron never bends by will
Diamonds may last forever
A heart.... Never....
My path lies clear
Stepping past any fear
Hope always standing near
Tomorrow.. so close I can almost touch
Not asking for much
Looking past hearts that hate
Changing fate
Never too late
Lost to sorrow
A cup of love to borrow
Time stands still
Looking out some window sill
Meeting a new day
Making my way.
Towards something new
That's where on hope I drew
Trying to make it past
Days that never last
Cause tomorrow comes so fast
