Pearl and Purpose

I thought you had brought it out of the night,
I thought it had come to the light,
I thought you had journeyed to bring it from the deep,
I thought it had found its way to your room.

The priceless doesn’t sound,
It waits to be unbound and found,
A door of opulence is opened,
It heralds a new dawn.

Redemption is the pearl we desire,
How much of a price does it require?
We have searched the books,
The sages say it’s a price in the singleton of voice.

I look for the pearl that’s hidden in me,
Redemption will aid me to see,
I’ll sojourn through time’s lane,
To find the ones missing in my chamber.

powerful poem and a unique and inspirational take on the 'pearl' contest. I especially liked "I look for the pearl that’s hidden in me, Redemption will aid me to see," Have to fave your poem for its insight and wisdom. Enjoy your evening, Sara
