waiter this soup is repeating on me

which is worse to be a fake or fraud or sit by and watch ~ then applaud

in truth makes no difference the game is up ~ next stage a firing squad

plagiarism and AI does not make great soup ~ but a rotten cheap broth

strange thing most of them posting it all ~ say they’re devoted to a god

Al is to me cheating and shows incapacity of writing for yourself. I have seen examples with relatives and found they have no real continuity and are easy to detect.

Right on/write on!

Regurgitation is a word I'd use for anyone who claims to be a poet and uses AI. That soup is sour, and I won't slurp it, not that I've been around that much lately, anyway. Perhaps that doesn't give me the right to complain, but soup is not the same and hasn't been for months.

David, your clever wordplay skewering plagiarism and AI misuse is both biting and brilliant. I love your way with piercing social commentary through compact verse is truly impressive. This is a thought-provoking piece for all of us to take into consideration. - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Hi David, so sad that the precious and almost sacred act of creating poetry is being so defiled by such practices. If authenticity is traded on the altar of ego and all that matters is recognition, we have lost faith and our humanity. Poetry speaks the mind, heart and soul of the writer, break that bond and it becomes poisonous froth.

You make some valid points. Well, except for the firing squad thingy

well done and powerfully said. Wishing you a pleasant evening, Sara

Hey David. I’ve just responded to a blog about this. Is there an AI checker? I’m not aware of it. I can’t believe people are using AI and not admitting to it. They need to be called out as it’s not allowed on PS. and it’ll make a mockery of the site. Great work here. Cheers - Gary

Well said David (and particularly witty and well written too!). Poetry is about sharing your soul, so taking another persons work and taking credit for it gratuitously is stomach churning stuff. It ruins the site, undermines the contests and compromises human interaction. I vote for authenticity. I can't understand what the motivation was and I hope they have support for the fall from grace though...
