11-24-2017

I was born in Austin, TX in 1947 and we moved to Dallas shortly thereafter.  I grew up in Dallas and have spent the better part of my life here.  I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Accounting.  After graduation I spent two years in the Army before beginning my accounting career.  I am a CPA and have my own accounting practice here in Dallas which keeps me busy 50-60 hours a week.  I am married and have two sons and two daughters and one grandson.  I began writing about six months ago as a means to relieve the stresses of life with no intentions of ever sharing my writing with the world.  Several friends, however, told me they thought my writing was pretty good and should be shared.  That's when I found Poetry Soup.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Poetry Soup and I am awed by some of the incredible writers on this site.  I am deeply humbled by some of the comments I have recieved from such incredible writers who have been writing so much longer than I.  I am thankful that you have accepted me as part of the Poetry Soup Family.
