Born in Washington D.C., I was raised in Silver Spring Maryland. I left home in my teenage years to work in New York City and the National Audubon Society and attended American Academy of Dramatic Arts part time. While living in New York City, I met my first husband who was fresh from the former Yugoslavia. We both left New York and relocated to Massachusettes where I worked with adults with special needs and my first child was born. I returned to the Maryland area to be near my parents and resided in Bowie Maryland. Unfortunately, my marriage ended in a divorce a few years later. I later met my second husband when we were both working with adults with special needs. I returned to college and studied criminal justice but after working in the field briefly, did not feel it was a good fit.I became pregnant with my seonc child. I worked a variety of clerical jobs while pursueing my bachelors in sociology part time. After completing my degree, I worked as a manager of serveral group homes while my spouse finished his master's degree and became a school social worker. After our children were raised, I decided to study massage and became a massage therapist. My elderly father lived with us four months out of the year and I liked having a more flexible work schedule so that he and I could spend more quality time together. During this time my husband and I traaveled to Costa Rica, Scotland and Mexico. I also traveled to Amsterdam and India. After my father passed away, I took my husband to Italy for the summer. My second marriage ended due to personal reasons I'd rather not discuss, however, we are still very close friends. I relocated to West Virginia in 2016 and worked with youth in therapeutic placement. I also worked as a massage therapist part time. In March of this year, I relocated to Pennsylvania and am currently working part time as a counselor to adults with special needs. Since I was a child I have always loved writing poetry and am greatly enjoying the poetry soup web site.
